Time your audio spot before you book the studio.

Time it, trim it, plan it: the pre-production lab for audio ads and podcasts.

Example A 38 s script against a 30 s slot: 8 s over, trim about 20 words (at an assumed 150 wpm).

Numbers count as extra words and each slash adds 0.4 s. Your script never leaves this page.

Example The preloaded Harbor Coffee script is a fictional example, not a real brand or client. Clear it and paste your own.

Output: list

Over the slot? Paste a script and a target length. The AI cuts it, keeps the call to action and tells you what it removed.

Example brands such as Harbor Coffee and TidyBooks are fictional.

Why Wondercraftlab exists

A spot should fit its slot before anyone presses record.

The problem

Most audio spots and podcast segments are written blind. A script runs 38 seconds when the slot is 30, and the mistake is only found in the studio or after a voice has been booked. Teams then pay for re-records, rush cuts and rewrites. Sponsor reads run long, episodes drift in length, and the maths for ad slots and revenue sits in scattered spreadsheets.

The solution

Wondercraftlab is a pre-production lab that checks timing, structure and economics before recording. Paste a script and see how long it will run at a chosen speaking pace. Trim it to the slot with AI help. Lay out an episode run sheet with ad breaks. Estimate sponsorship income from simple inputs. The timer and planner run in the browser with no accounts; AI tasks send your text to Cloudflare Workers AI.

The product

A tool-first web app with four working surfaces: Spot Lab for timing and pace, Run Sheet for episode planning and sponsor math, Script Desk for three focused AI tasks, and Guides for practical audio writing references.

Business model

Free to use in early access. The paid team tier is a SaaS subscription (saved projects, shared run sheets, more AI capacity, export templates): planned, not yet available. A second line, per-seat plans for small agencies, is also planned, not yet available. Costs stay low because the tools run client-side and AI runs on Cloudflare Workers AI.

Vision

To become the standard planning layer between an idea and a recording session for audio content: every ad spot and podcast episode checked for time, clarity and economics before a microphone is switched on, with AI that assists the writer and leaves the voice and the decisions to people.

Plans
